Bus Riders
“I forgot…..” Oops. I won’t complain. Maylie showed up on her own after riding the bus home instead of going to daycare like she is susppoed to. For some reason we are not to pick them up from day care until 6 PM, I know, it makes no sense, but they are there, waiting to come home and we are at home, waiting to come get them. Maylie took it in her own hands, or conveniently forgot to ride the bus to her day care. Twice. Oops. We all laughed. I think during her off weeks she was scolded heavily for her mistake.
Maddie on the other hand, seems to have tried to make a break for it. She got on the bus to come home, said hi to Kam, who was mighty confused, but she was apparently yanked off the bus before it could leave. I am sure she got in trouble. It is sad. They want to come home so badly, I miss them every day. I haven’t written much lately, I am just flat exhausted. I think about them every day. I miss them. We all miss them. Lately Kam has been preparing for them, getting little things ready, waiting till they come home to do things. He is so sweet. He watches out for his little sisters. Such a great big brother. And the teen, she is all attitude when she finds out about them being in trouble or not being taken care of on off weeks. I have a wonderful family, a wonderful wife, I am a lucky man, lucky husband, lucky daddy.
I do, however, secretly wish that Maylie would forget today, and that Maddie would strike out on her own, make a break for it, sneak. ![]()
